Everybody Looks Good In Shades

Yes, this is your random blog post for the weekend.
Everybody Looks Good in Shades. Think about it. Take the ugliest person you know, stick a pair of dark sunglasses on them and wham! Not so ugly anymore, right? There's a sense of mystery about them isn't there? What's hiding behind those dark shades anyway? Wouldn't you like to know?
I believe Tom Cruise is responsible for this phenomenon.
Remember this?

Oh, yes. The Eighties. Risky Business. (It was a movie for those of you still in diapers at the time).
Oh, yes. Tom.
He still rocks it out a bazillion years later.

And then there are those people who would look good in a brown paper bag, but wear the shades anyway, just 'cause.

Me, I like me a pair of shades. Mine have to be prescription because I pretty much can't see if they aren't, so I got me a sweet pair of Prada shades. Have to admit, I feel more important when I'm wearing them. Seriously.
My favorite dudes that rock out the shades have got to be those FBI guys that follow the Prez around. Oh, yeah. They're hiding something, that's for sure.

They're not called the Secret Service for nothing.
On the other hand, there are some ugly sunglasses out there, and they don't do anybody any favors.

So choose your shades wisely.
And let me know if you wear them at night.

Oh, come now--the only time to wear shades at night is if you're starring in the Blues Brothers movie (still a classic, by the way).
Have a great weekend.

Richard - okay, wait, are you saying that Tom Cruise is NOT the be all and end all of all things cool in this world?? Because I might have to cry. And, have you not heard of Cory Hart?
