It's Friday!!
Why do we like Fridays so much? I mean, really, do we seriously sit around and do nothing all weekend? I guess some people do. I do pretty much the same stuff on weekends that I do every day of the week, except that usually I have hubby home and I make him do the stuff I don't want to. Ha.
But now that I think about it, weekends are not quite the same as a regular weekday.
When the kids were small, Saturdays were a nightmare. Gymnastics, basketball, riding, soccer, skateboarding, swimming - you name it. We spent most of the day in the car going from one activity to the next. I'm so glad those days are behind us! Sunday is church, and often we'll hang out with friends in the afternoon. I enjoy my weekends, even though I still try to snatch some writing time in there, I have to admit, those two days are fun.
So you tell me - do you look forward to the weekend? What do you do in your time off?

Time off. That made me laugh.
I write. And when I'm not writing or dealing with kids or working, blah blah blah, I'm reading. Gotta love that written word!

I like to hang out with my hubby and take mini vacas! Last wekeend we went to Myrtle Beach, SC and this weekend we are going to Asheville, NC. Since we don't have kids yet we can take off and do little trips whenever we want which is nice. One day we'll have kiddoes and enter the world of swimming, baseball, soccer, basketball etc. on Saturdays! When we are not visiting a new place we like to relax on Saturday, go to church on Sunday and then lunch with friends! I treasure my weekends because they go by so fast!
I love weekends because the whole family is together. We normally get some relaxing done, too (though not lately!)
I enjoy spending time with Gwynly on the weekends. Since the weather is supposed to be nice, there could be a trip to the snow in our future. The Sierras have received several feet of it already.
Oh how I love my weekends. No going into work. Sleeping in (which is like 5:30 for me, but still wonderful) and writing while Brogan naps. LOVE them!
I look forward to Sundays because it is the only day of the week my husband is home:) Happy Weekend!
On the weekends, I mostly read, write, and cook. And, if I have enough energy left, I'll try and clean my messy house!
