Sure is Quiet Around Here!

Why do I suddenly feel like I've lost all my readers? Maybe everyone just went on vacation.
The worst thing about blogging for me is finding things to talk about. Lately, I'm scrambling to keep up with life in general after coming back from our holiday, and I'm very tired. And it's hot.
But some exciting things are happening.

I will be signing my second contract soon - that's so weird to even think about. I'm looking forward to getting Hidden in the Heart out there.
I'm also looking forward to the American Christian Fiction Writers conference in September. I'll be heading to St.Louis to hang out with hundreds of awesome writers, catch up with my agent in person, and meet some editors. I don't like pitching (talking about my writing, specifically my next book), but I'll be doing that.

Speaking of my agent, do you follow her blog? She's recently changed it so if you haven't checked it out yet, please go HERE and become a follower! A wealth of information for anyone at any stage of their publishing journey.

And since we're talking about Rachelle, she has some awesome clients, haha. But seriously - we are really excited to be launching our own blog - The WordServe Water Cooler - to share tips from the trenches of the publishing world, and a few other topics! We're planning to launch the first week of August, so stay tuned!

How's your summer going so far?

Hi Catherine! I've noticed the blogging world traffic has gone down quite a bit over the summer . . . never fear, it picks back up again when school starts!;)
Sounds like you are staying busy with you're writing! That's wonderful!
Blessings to you,
Cherie

Ditto, Heather! I am counting days until conference! Haven't booked my ticket yet though, hoping the prices might come down a bit.

Thanks Cherie! Yes, I suppose summer does produce a bit of a lull. Thanks for stopping by!

I think this summer has been very demanding on everyone's time.

Congrats on your new contract! I look forward to reading your next book.

...and the water cooler.
