A New Year

It's coming. New Year's Eve.
Do you celebrate by going to a raucous party and waking up the next day with a head as heavy as a bowling ball?
Or do you attend a church service and ring in the New Year praising God for what He's done this past year, and looking forward to what He'll do in the coming one?
These past few years, we've done neither.
Stephen is usually on call, so we stay home.
Thus it will be this year.
I do thank God for this past year. It's been an interesting one, and not without challenge.
But I look forward to facing the coming year with greater knowledge and strength, and I think it's going to be a good one.
I don't make resolutions because I always break them.
I do however, have hopes and dreams.
But I've learned to give them over to God and let Him work them out.
Whatever the New Year means to you, I pray you will be blessed.

I agree...
no resolutions
just God bringing some kind of revolution to my heart and life in His own way.
Happy New Year

Hi, Cathy. We are having church late tonight from 8:30 - Midnight. Seems weird not to have left yet! We will pray the old year out and the new one in. I look forward to the challenges 2007 holds. May you have a wonderful and blessed New Year. - Donna

Cathy,
I laughed when I read your post because I thought...those are my two options?
I can either get drunk and go crazy or go to church?
Yikes! I don't like either of those two options!
ha ha ha
;)

Thankfully, I did neither and I was quite happy with my New Years.
(not to offend those who have churches that are fun and exciting...)
