Wow, my browser just quit and deleted the entire post I had almost finished writing. Hate when that happens!!
Okay, let's try this again!! It's been really busy around here and I'm definitely looking forward to Easter and a few days off. I'm desperate to get on with finishing Reprisal, but I'm having to try to find a bit of time here and there at the moment.
Book News - found out quite by accident that Yesterday's Tomorrow is listed as #4 in the Kindle Store in the Fiction/Genre Fiction/War category. Not sure how all those guys looking for a blood and guts story are going to appreciate the romance angle, but you know...it was quite an exciting discovery just the same!
And in other far more exciting news, we have found the actor to play Luke if they ever make the book into a movie! His name is Charlie Hunnam. I think I have a crush. I bet he's horrible in real life. Ha.
Anyway, there he is. He doesn't know he's Luke yet, but he will.
So, Street Teams. I had no idea what this meant until yesterday when my saavy friend Paulette told me about them. Funnily enough, I received my copy of Romance Writers Review and there was an entire article on it! Interesting time. In any case, apparently a street team consists of fans who love whatever you're trying to promote, which in my case would be my book, and will go out of their way to help you promote it. So I'm putting together my street team for Yesterday's Tomorrow! If you would like to be a part of it, you can hop onto Facebook and Like the Fan Page, and spread the word! You can also check out my author page on Facebook too. I will probably switch to posting all about the book on the Fan Page though.
Word of mouth is truly what it's all about these days, and it's so easy with the Internet. If you've read the book and you haven't yet written a review on Amazon, that's also a good thing to do to help generate interest.
While all this is good, SALES need to happen! So not only do you want to tell people what a good book this is, you want to make sure they go out and buy a copy!!
Speaking of buying copies, I had my first Bermuda book signing on Saturday! It went very well and I was pleased with the turnout. And so far all the feedback I'm getting is great!
Anyway, all this to say, life is busy, but good! I'm happy.
I really appreciate you stopping by the blog and I want to wish each and every one of you a very blessed Easter!
He is Risen!!
